It happened!!

For the first time since Grace was born, she has LOST weight. We took her in for her 15 month appt. She is doing so well. The Dr was impressed that she has only been sick once (ear ache around 10 months) and has only been in for well visits other than that. We were pretty proud as parents. He he. Anyway, for those who care. Here are her stats: 25 lb 14oz, 32 1/2 inches long. She is out of the 95th for her weight now (80th), but still up there in height. She is such a happy baby. We love her.

I'm sure there are more and I realized this is long for a post, but I want to be able to look back and see how much they grow/change. It sure happens fast!!

New Baby!

Kimball sister, Jill and hubby Chris gave birth to their 5th baby, and 4th girl, Lily Gnehm. She is 7lbs 5oz, 21 inches long. She has a little bit of dark hair and a red toned skin (must be from the Cody side). Mom and baby are both doing well and we cant wait till they get home so we can visit more! Congratulation Smith Family! We are so happy for you!

Happy Birthday Grace!

It is amazing how fast time flies by! Grace turned 1 on August 16th and we had a little party at the park. Her favorite part was destroying the birthday cake! She did an awesome job! Check her out! Grace, we love you so much. You are SUCH a good baby. You're favorite things are to read books, hug babies and pet (pat) dogs. You LOVE LOVE love your daddy but smile when Mom walks in the room. You sleep 12 hours at night and eat anything we let you try! You have been such a joy this past year and we look forward to many more birthdays and special memories. Thank you for coming to our family! You have such a sweet spirit and disposition. We love you Grace Olivia! 1 year stats: 25.2 pounds, 31 1/2 inches. Such a big healthy girl!

Although Grace is now 11 months, I decided to post these pictures because they are SO cute. We went to our friend/photographers studio, Chris Paxman, and he took a TON of shots for us. Grace was a little bit tired but we worked around it. Thanks again Chris!! Here are a few of the favorites:

Pool Time!

So I finally decided to grin and bare (literally) swimsuit season and get myself into one. We had not taken Grace to the pool yet and we KNEW she would love it, so I gave in. We even got her one of those baby floats and she thought she was queen of the castle (or pool in this case). Be cautious of the baby cleavage..its pretty sexy




Also, I got Kimball a mini pool table for Fathers Day and we have played about 6 games of 15 ball, and 5 games of 9 ball. I have YET to lose in 15 ball (regular pool) but have lost 3 times in 9 ball. For anyone that knows me, I am SUPER competitive and Kimball has learned to adore me for it. I always get so excited when I win and he just laughs at me. Isn't that cute!? Anyway, here are some shots of the table, and Grace checking it out!

Recent Travels

We are blessed to spend a lot of time together because of Kimball's job. He only ends up working about 10 days a month. So, we decided to take advantage of that and head to New Mexico to visit some of Kimball's friends from when he use to live there. First we stopped off in Hubbard, AZ to visit Grandpa and Grandma Butler's grace.


Then we headed to NM and stayed at the McDonald's, who are like adoptive g-parents. Jerry taught Kimball to ranch and he was lucky enough to spend his summers there as a ranch hand. It was nice to get away from everything - they have no TV, no neighbors, and no Walmart. We admire them greatly for their tenacity and hard work. I also got to feed the horses and pet them, still have yet to RIDE one though. Maybe next time we go...



Then we went to visit Kimball's school friend, Wayne and his family. They have 2 little boys who just ADORED Grace. We had such a good time and are excited for our next adventure!!

It happened so fast!!

So I realized I have not blogged lately...what a slacker I am. Things are going well over here in hot hot Arizona. Dont have much time but wanted to update on our little girl! Grace is already 9 months old! Its hard to believe that in 3 months she will be ONE!!!! We went to the Dr and of course he gave her his stamp of approval. And her stats...drum roll please.... 21.3 pounds, 29 1/4 inches, 47 cm head - doing all the things she is suppose to (but really taking her time on crawling...). She is a HAPPY happy baby and sleeps a good 10-12 hours at night. Yeah, its the BEST. For all of you who know us, we LOVE our sleep. Looks like our little one enjoys it as well. We are so grateful to have her in our family and know she will continue to be a joy as she grows into a little lady! We love you Grace Olivia!
