Bragging Rights!

Its been a while since I've posted anything. Our little girl is getting so big. She just had her 4 month appt and doc said she's looking great. Let me brag about her stats: 17.2 pounds (95th), 25 inches (70th) and 43 cm head. She is a really good eater, obviously...and a pretty good sleeper too. Here are a few pics of her, just being adorable!! She is very strong and has been since day one, you can even see her standing!! Also, if you look closely at the head shot you can see her curly hair!! I'm hoping it stays like that! She is a good little happy girl!

Big Girls Don't Cry

Our little Grace is now 3 months old!! Where does the time go!?? It's so fun though. I love being a Mommy and Kimball thinks fatherhood = just playing with her. I'm ok with that though. He gets her to talk and smile so I can't help but love it. Anyway, on a sad note she got her first little cold last week. Poor thing. Although you wouldn't know it cuz she hardly cried, even though she was all congested and had to breathe out of her mouth. Her little coughs were so adorable along with her sneezes. She did sleep for 15 hours one of the nights, it was crazy! I'm sure you can't really tell but her are a few pics of her "sick." Still pretty cute huh?? We also went fishing (or tried to). Nothing was biting and it was kind of cold that day. This is the best family pic we got and then the camera ran out of battery right after this one of Grace and Kimball...lucky me, right? Oh well, at least we know I was there!

New Toy

Look mommy, I'm eating this new rattle cuz its so delicious! I like to hold it like a big girl and shake it when I get excited! I'm getting so grown up! You have to admit I'm pretty cute, right?

Happy Halloween

Alright, we gave in and decided to take Grace out for a little bit on Halloween night. I would have been fine with staying home and hanging out but Kimball LOVES Halloween, so we went over to Jill's (Kimball's sis) and walked around with her kids. They were running to every house so we lost them after 2 minutes! Anyway, we took a few pics. Nothing too great, the green bow is suppose to be her "stem", compliments of Kimball. She did good...got Mom and Dad some yummy "loot." But after about 15 minutes she wore out and fell asleep, as you can see!! Poor thing. So...What should we dress her up as next year??



I took these pics (below) before Halloween night. I was trying to do a photo shoot but she was NOT having it. This is more like what her costume was suppose to be like but it was SO HOT I couldn't do it to her! I took the costume off and then... well, she fell asleep!

My Happy Girl!!

So I finally caught some of my girls' smiles on camera. She is so stinking cute I want to kiss her all day! She LOVES to talk during diaper changes and when she is bouncing in her seat! She thinks Mommy is SO funny. We all know she's right about that one. HA HA!!

Forget Bath Time!

We found Grace a new love... showers with Daddy!!! She use to cry and cry when she had to take baths and I was sick of trying to wrestle her in there without splashing water all over or having her tip over! Finally I remembered that we (Diana's sibs) grew up showering with Dad and apparently loved it, so we thought we'd try it out. Turns out, SOMEONE else loves it too!! I think she enjoys it so much because its warm in there and she gets to feel her Daddy's skin and the water splash on her body. I enjoy it cuz I get a 5 minute break and it is their time to bond. Since I am with her all day and nursing her we have a lot of time to hang out and talk. Daddy is so busy with the Fire Academy that he doesn't get to play with her as much. It really is adorable to watch them in there. I took a few pics, and don't worry they are all clean!!

Lucky Ducky!

I must be the luckiest Mommy in the world! So I had friends tell me that their kids didnt sleep through the night until they were 10 months and Ive had others say at a month they slept through the night so i wasn't too sure what to expect with Grace. Turns out on her 2 month birthday she decides...I'm a big girl now so I'm just gonna sleep 8 hours tonight! I seriously thought she was dead! I ran in there at like 5 and she was just breathing away in her own little dream land. Now, 10 weeks old she sleeps 9-10 hours, its ROCKS!! I'd like to think that its because she weighs a little over 15 pounds and is almost 25 inches long. She realizes that if she misses a meal she will most likely be able to survive! Anyway, she's pretty much the greatest and we really are so lucky!
Here she is just napping in our bed while I get ready for the day, gosh she's cute!!

My 2 Month Old Punkin!

Ifinally took some more pics of Grace. I went over to my friend Laura's house and we set up a little photo area. They turned out pretty cute once I figured the camera out (its Kimball's). Here are just a few, now that its turning into Fall I thought what better than a little orange pumpkin shirt!! Of course the bow was made my her Aunt Jen (Eric's) and she loves wearing them!! I'd have to say she's pretty cute, I mean check out those cheeks!!

Grace - 6 Weeks

I'm still trying to get the hang of this blogging stuff. I really need to update it more often. Lets see, some exciting news...Grace is now 6 weeks old and growing so fast! She had her 1 month doctor appt and weighed 13.1 oz and was 24 inches long. I'll have you know she was OVER the 95th percentile in both height and weight...thats our girl! She is a really good eater and is getting better on sleeping through the night (up to 5 hours now). Being a mom is a great blessing and I'd like to think I'm getting better at this mommy thing. Kimball is still going through the Salt River Fire Academy and is proud of his blistered "man hands." After his 16 weeks he will officially be a Firefighter...oowww ooww!

Birthdays for everyone!!

Hey Everyone! Grace slept through the night (3-4 hour shifts) and her tummy doesnt seem to be bothering her that much today. She is getting so big and starting to be more alert. After all, she is 1 whole month old today!! Kimball and I are going out for my 24th birthdaytonight so we'll be sure to post some pictures later. Till then!

So, after 10 months of marriage we decided maybe its time to start a blog. With the little one coming in the next 8 weeks, we better get on board. Nothing too exciting right now with us. Kimball is working for the city in the water department and I'm still working the front office at the doctor's office. We live in Mesa in our 3 bedroom house and are doing everything we can to stay out of the 114 degree weather!!
